Bike crashes into a car during bike race...


Was checking this video out and thought to myself "Why is there a car there in the first place!!!?"
Ouch that looked like it hurt. That is one of my fears, ramming straight into a car. Every time I pass by a parked car I'm just waiting for the door to open and mess my whole training ride up! Scary!

Lets try a new sport...

 

Went out to the driving range today with Billy and Arlene to see what we got.  I'm always up for a challenge to see who is more manly!! lol  but I guess I did not believe Billy when he said that he was a 4 year varsity golfer in high school and was one of the elite golfers in his time playing at that level.  Yea that should tell you everything but I thought to myself "Na, it's Billy... lol"


Billy was not lying.  He can hit the ball hard out there, that's crazy!  I need a lot more swings before I can talk trash to anyone in this sport.  I hit a couple good 150 yard ones out there but it was just a few out of the 90 balls I hit.  Anyways.... I still hit the ball with more style lol..

A new fad diet.... A way of making money off of naive people...

Well I think this is the dumbest thing ever and the most unhealthy way to lose weight. It's a crash diet times 10! So what this guy does is inject you with growth hormone for 30 days and you only eat 500 calories a day making you lose 30 lbs at the end of the month.

Do you see something wrong here? ummm first of all after years and years of people dieting and rebounding it is proven that in order to lose weight you have to train your mind to eat less, and exercise more in order to lose 2 lbs a week to be healthy and learn to keep the weight off.

Well this doctor says that he can make you lose weight.... sure your gonna lose weight! You don't need to pay anyone to lose weight if your just eating 500 calories a day!!! That in itself will make you shed the pounds. If anyone gets on this diet, I say there is a 99% chance that they will gain all the weight plus some in a few weeks.

Then the fact that you are putting a synthetic growth hormone that you body already makes can't be good!  Injecting yourself with hormones make your body think that you don't need that hormone as much as you needed before because it gets used to the extra hormone.  Now you just screwed your body when its not present anymore.  That can't be good either.  

The reason I'm talking about this is that there are people passing out flyers at the flea markets saying this the best thing since sliced bread. Feeding off the same people that believe that herbalife will change their lives. You don't need to spend money on these things if you are not gonna change the way you live for the rest of you life. In order to keep this weight off you have to make a commitment to continue being healthy forever. These miss a meal diets make lazy fat people lose weight, but the become lazy fatter people once they stop paying for the fad diet. The weight did not come on over night, so don't expect it to come off so fast.

GOOD OL' EXERCISE and HEALTHIER EATING IS ALL YOU NEED!

Copenhagen Denmark is a sweet place...


This is totally awesome.  This city has more rights for cyclist than cars.  Everyone uses bikes because the city promotes a healthy living, better air and better standards of life.  The way they get everyone to buy bikes is by making a whole bunch of bike lanes, giving tax benefits for owning a bicycle, making it impossible to buy a car by taxing them at 200% over the purchase price.  And if you do get yourself a car you have to pump out $6 bucks for  a gallon for gasoline!!!!

Well it's working, the streets are packed with cyclist.  They carry groceries, run errands and do pretty much everything on their bikes. I don't see that many obese people in the video. Shows that the plan is working.  Would be awesome if there were more people out there motivated to better themselves. We should adopt all their pro-cycling activities!  Just leave the 200% tax out of it.. lol Texas is too big without a car lol!

"I can't lose weight!" EXCUSES EXCUSES!!!  Get off your butt and do something!

Rest day...

Mondays are officially rest day in my book.  After the long week of constant exercise, one day of doing nothing is well deserved.  It's hard to not do any activity because i'm so used to it, but the body will thank me for it.  Tomorrow it's back on the saddle starting at 5 am.  So ready!
